¼ cup Black Sesame

Directions
Til diya mansho or chicken cooked with black sesame paste is a typically Assamese preparation cooked like a stir fry. We are using the same ingredients to marinate the chicken to roast them in the oven. Serve this North Eastern recipe with a fresh garden

Marinate the chicken with salt, turmeric, chilli powder, cumin, black pepper and lemon juice. Keep it aside for at least 20mins to an hour. |

Separately heat a pan and add black sesame seeds to dry roast them for a minute. Remove them to a plate and cool completely. Add the cooled seeds to the jar of a mixer grinder along with mustard oil, garlic, ginger, green chillies and onion. Grind them to a paste without using any water. |

Remove the paste and keep aside. Squeeze out excess water from the chicken and place it in a fresh bowl, add the black sesame paste to it and mix it properly. |

Keep aside the chicken for 30mins. In the meantime heat your OTG or oven to 180c. Place the chicken in the pre heated oven and cook for about 30mins or till the chicken cooks through and through. |

Remove and immediately baste with ghee or butter. Serve with a lemon wedge and a fresh garden salad of your choice. |
