Purple banana flower shredded (filaments removed) - 2 1/2cup
Toasted sesame -1 tbl spn
Green chilly chopped - 1tbl spn
2 tbl spn Oil
2 nos Lemon
100 Gms Gur (Jaggery)
Toasted peanuts - 1/2 cup
1 cup Mint leaves
1/4th of a tsp Salt

Banana flower salad is treated like a vegetable in many Asian cuisines and have a slightly bitter flavour. The creamy, inner bracts are crunchy and take on flavours of the dish, making them perfect.

Thinly slice the banana flower and keep aside in a bowl. Separately in another bowl put jaggery, lemon juice, and oil. Mix in all

Now sprinkle toasted sesame, peanuts chopped green chilly, mint leaves and salt on the banana flower.

3. Pour over the dressing and mix well. Serve immediately.

Note

This crunchy salad is loaded with vitamins and the sweet and sour taste of jaggery and lemon along with oil makes for a perfect salad.
