For Sprouting DalFor Wash the dal with water and soak it for at least 3 to 4 hours. After soaking drain the dal of all the water and place it on to a clean kitchen cloth. Tie it up the soaked moth dal in the cloth like a sack (Potli). Do this for 2 days and this will cause the dal to sprout. In case you are buying sprouted dal then simply use 3 cups of the sprouted dal for this recipe. Once the dal sprouts, you can take it out of the cloth and place it in a fridge till you want to use it for this recipe. |

For Cucumber BoatSelect small cucumbers and with our peeling them cut them lengthwise into two. Using a small spoon scoop our the seeds from the center. This makes a cavity in the cucumber, now sprinkle the cucumbers with some salt to taste, chaat masala and a twist of lemon. Fill that with the dal moth chaat salad and serve. |
