Gond Pak
Ingredients
Ghee (घी) – ¼ cup + 2 tbsp
Edible Gum (गौणद कातिरा) – 1½ cups/300 gms
Desiccated Coconut (घिसा सूखा नारियल) – ½ cup
Khoya (खोया) – 2 cups/ 400 gms
Black Cardamom (काली इलाइची) – 2 nos
Almonds, chopped (बादाम) – ¼ cup
Cashew nut, chopped (काजू) – ¼ cup
Walnuts, chopped (अखरोट) – ¼ cup
Saffola Honey Activ (शहद) – ¾ cup
Cashew Nuts (काजू) – handful

In a pan, heat ghee over medium heat. Add edible gum to the heated ghee and fry until it puffs up. Ensure it doesn't burn. Remove from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, add desiccated coconut and add khoya ( and sauté until it melts and gets soft and pliable. Crush the black cardamom seeds and add the seeds to the pan. Mix well. Add chopped almonds, cashew nuts, and walnuts. Stir and cook for a few minutes until the nuts are slightly roasted. Pour Saffola Honey Activ into the pan and mix everything well. Cook for a few more minutes until the mixture thickens. |

Add the fried edible gum to the mixture and mix and crush a little until it is well coated with the other ingredients. Brush some ghee on the base of a steel thali, transfer the gond pak into it and press it evenly. Let it set for 10- 15 minutes. Cut them into equal cubes, Garnish each cube with a cashew nut on top and enjoy this healthy and tasty delight! |
