Note – this recipe makes 500 grams (approx) of Moong Dal Halwa using 1/2 cup moong dal dhuli.
Ingredients
Moong dal, no skin (मूंग दाल) – ½ cup
Ghee(घी)- 3 tbsp
Sooji (सूजी) – 1 tbsp
Besan (बेसन) – 1 tbsp
Rose water (गुलाब जल) – 2 tsp
Nuts(ड्राई फ्रुट) chopped – handful
For Syrup
Water (पानी) – 1 cup
Sugar (चीनी) – ½ cup
Cardamom powder (इलायची पाउडर) – ½ tsp
Milk (दूध) – ½ cup

Roast the moong dal on low flame, till it gets a darker shade of brown. Be sure to stir it constantly or else it won’t get brown evenly. |

In a pan, heat some ghee and then add the ground moong dal, sooji, and besan, then roast it thoroughly. Now, add the sugar syrup into it and stir it well for a few minutes until it thickens. Add some rose water and chopped nuts. |
