Mooli Ki Sabzi

Serves – 2 

 

Ingredients

Radish, large (मूली) – 3 nos

Mustard Oil (सरसों तेल) – ¼ cup 

Ajwain (अजवाइन) – ½ tsp 

Heeng (हींग) – ½ tsp

Green Chilli, slit (हरि मिर्च)  – 3 nos

Salt (नमक) – to taste

Turmeric (हल्दी) – ¾ tsp

Red Chilli Powder (मिर्ची पाउडर) – 1½ tsp  

Radish Leaves, chopped (मूली पत्ता) – 2½ cups

Salt (नमक) – to taste

Chaat Masala (चाट मसाला) – 1½ tsp

Peel the radishes and wash them thoroughly. Cut them into small pieces. Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ajwain and heeng to the hot oil. Let them splutter. Add slit green chillies to the oil and sauté for a minute.

Add the chopped radishes to the pan. Stir well. Season with salt and turmeric. Mix until the radish pieces are coated with the spices. Cook the radishes for about 5-7 minutes until they start to soften. Once the radishes are slightly tender, add red chilli powder and mix well. Now, add the chopped radish leaves to the pan. Mix everything together. Cover the pan and let it cook for another 5-7 minutes until the radish leaves wilt down and the radish pieces are fully cooked.
Once cooked, sprinkle chaat masala over the sabzi and mix well. Serve the Mooli Ki Sabzi hot with roti or rice.
